Allison Savic, CSOM
Owner, OMT of Nashville
During her time working as a dental hygienist Allison continually encountered patients whose dental health had been affected by tongue tie, tongue thrust, jaw pain and other Myofunctional Disorders. After seeing how prevalent these disorders were and in how many undesirable ways they can impact someone’s health, dental and otherwise, Allison decided to expand her knowledge by completing post-graduate training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
She began her training in 2014 at The Coulson Institute of Orofacial Myology, continued her education with The Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), has trained in the Buteyko Method for breathing reeducation, and has successfully completed her Orofacial Myology certification through The Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences. She has completed hundreds of hours of formal training in the area Orofacial Myology, and continually seeks opportunities for continued education.
Allison is an active member of the Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences and loves working as part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals. She is excited to share her knowledge about OMT to help people of all ages improve their health and quality of life.
